Introducing Taeck Jang Photography’s Bridal Session!
A bridal session or bride/groom session are portraits of the bride and groom taken before the wedding day. It is similar to an engagement session but the couple will be wearing a wedding gown and tuxedo. This is a pretty popular style of photography in Korea. It eliminates the pressure of having to take all the portraits on the wedding day and the bride and groom can use these photos to display during their wedding. This was our first session and we shot from dusk to dawn so we were able to get different levels of light!

It was such a pleasure documenting Sammy and Michael’s wedding! The couple has such great dynamics and the bridesmaids and groomsmen were so fun to be around as well! The wedding ceremony took place at Chima in Virginia and we later relocated to Glen Echo Park for some bridal party portraits. The ceremony was beautiful, the food was delicious, and everyone had such a great time! Congratulations again Sammy and Michael!

Serena’s portraits for her first birthday took place in the Howard Peters Rawlings Conservatory in Baltimore, Maryland. It was perfect because it provided an indoor location for the session so we were able to avoid the cold, but it still has a lot of landscaping to give an outdoor feel. In other words, the most ideal location for cold hard February! The session went really well and I loved the enthusiasm of the family. Serena was an angel throughout. Looking forward to her birthday in a few weeks!

Since the beginning of the new year I’ve been wanting to bring something new to my services. I’m currently putting together something called Styled Sessions. The first trial will be next month so I will be posting an update on that. In the meantime I have been working on a new editing style that can be used for the Styled Sessions. This image is of a bride that I photographed within the past year but just changing up the style a bit.
