It was a very hot summer day and we traveled out to Harper’s Ferry for Lyndsey and Evan’s engagement session. We selected an old town neighborhood that had a retro feel. There were a few challenges during this session. First off, the area was flooded with insects and then it also rained at times, however the couple did not let any of that bother them. They laughed regardless and truly made the session really enjoyable. They love hiphop and they even danced at times. I am so thankful that they were able to enjoy this session and am looking forward to their wedding!
 

It was a late afternoon in Washington, D.C. and it was raining for the majority of Grace and Edward’s engagement session. The couple was so amazing that you can barely tell that in the photos other than some visible raindrops. Even though the weather wasn’t ideal, Grace and Edward still laughed through the day and it shows how much they are in love. They were so easy to work with and made the session so enjoyable. Can’t wait until their wedding day.
 

Julie and Joseph’s engagement session took place on the beach at Sandy Point Park in Annapolis. The weather was amazing and I really enjoyed spending the day with this sweet darling couple. Their chemistry is absolutely amazing. Joseph is really good at the guitar and he serenaded Julie on the beach by the water. Afterwards they took a stroll by the coast and he gave her a piggy-back ride. Their love for another really shows when they are together. Looking forward to their wedding in a few weeks!
 

Jin and Joseph’s wedding is one that will definitely be remembered. It was the first outdoor wedding at the Church of Philippi. Being a member of this church for many years and also having shot other weddings here as well, I’ve seen this church on a weekly basis. But seeing it set up for an outdoor event was something very new and spontaneous for the church. Everything was perfect…until it started to rain. It started out as a light drizzle and then quickly changed into a thrashing storm. The remainder of the ceremony had to be moved inside but we were fortunate enough to be able to capture some of the ceremony outdoors. The vast amount of umbrellas adds a unique touch to the wedding. We used the umbrellas and the rain to create some fun portraits as well. Congratulations Jin and Joseph! We are glad that we were able to be a part of this experience!
