During our first initial meeting, Sara and Patrick discussed the idea of possibly having a snow session for their engagement. Their wedding is in the summer so they wanted a different season for their engagement session. The first month of winter didn’t look too promising so we started to think of alternative options for the session. But then came Jonas. A snowstorm that would guarantee a winter wonderland environment. Though the conditions appeared challenging, we decided to still have the session the day after the storm. We met at Brookside Gardens and managed to find a cleared out trail that allowed us to walk around some of the areas of the park. It truly was a picture perfect winter scene. All the grass and trees were adorned with white and the ground was covered with snow that hadn’t been stepped in. For several of the shots, Sara and Patrick had to go in knee deep in the snow! This session was definitely an adventure but we had a lot of laughs and really enjoyed the beauty and simplicity of our surroundings blanketed with snow.
We were trying to do the lift pose here but they slipped and fell into the snow. Thankfully they were great sports about it and we all shared a laugh.
