Meadowlark Botanical Gardens Wedding | Sunhee & Jack

We almost didn’t make it to Sunhee and Jack’s wedding. What started as a drizzle eventually turned into a heavy downpour. It was one of those rainfalls that didn’t seem like it was going away anytime soon. We geared up and was on our way to meet with Sunhee and Jack for their preparation and then the unthinkable happened. We got into a major car accident on the highway with our car taking two hits, spinning across three lanes, and finally hitting the guardrail. The airbags deployed, our bodies trembled, and all we could think of at the time was why us and why today of all days. Not that accidents are ever predictable, but it’s something you don’t ever think about happening or are ever prepared for. We were examined by the emergency team (no major injuries and kudos to Acura for making a sturdy car!) and were able to have a friend drive us to the preparation location.

We felt horrible that Sunhee and Jack not only had to deal with the disappointment of rain on their wedding day (they were having their wedding at Meadowlark Botanical Gardens for goodness sake) but that now their wedding photographers were late as well. But Sunhee and Jack were more then gracious and kept thanking us for still coming to their wedding. We were grateful for their hearts so we dusted off, perked up, and began to work. We are so glad that we were able to make it to their wedding as it was beautiful! Meadowlark’s indoor ceremony was still absolutely stunning. And we were able to witness such a joyous union for the couple. Jack shed tears throughout the day and kept saying how lucky he was to have a bride like Sunhee. Sunhee was in constant smile as she looked at Jack. The reception was a party like no other. Guests were given glow necklaces and finger lights as favors to enjoy the party. Everyone was on the floor dancing the night away. It was definitely a wedding that we were grateful to have been able to take part of. Sunhee and Jack, congratulations again and thank you.
