Manic Musings | Vol. 4

Hi friends! Thanks for stopping by for yet another manic musings post! Initially our next manic musings post was going to be about our trip to Korea. And honestly the blog post was all written out with tales of our food adventures and how Laelle handled being there. Perhaps we’ll do a late post on that because there was some serious good food! But the reason for this delay is that after we got back, we found out that…

– Julie is pregnant! And while that’s not really a legitimate reason for us being so behind on our blogging (we’re still blogging weddings from last winter! yikes!), the horror of the morning (all day) sickness began. It lasted 3 months so it caused a serious delay in our usual work schedule. It also doesn’t make it easier to have an almost two year old that is bursting with never ending energy. The energizer bunny has nothing on her! Balancing work, full-time parenting while not feeling well and constantly throwing up all day… she was unable to make it to the computer most days during that time period. Mothers, we need more than just a day of the year as a tribute!

– But we are so excited for this blessing and are trying to prepare our lives for our newest addition in October! Honestly we can’t imagine the chaos that it will bring with two kids and two dogs but we know the joy that it will bring as well. Did we mention that…

– It’s a boy! We will be having one of each which for parents is perfection! The only downside is that we went overboard with the pink so unfortunately we won’t be able to use a lot of things from our first child. But we have been graciously receiving a lot of things from friends who had boys so it’s working out amazingly!

– We finally went on a vacation vacation. While we’ve been taking trips to Korea and we love going there, we’re not relaxing there nor resting there. We decided that since we probably won’t be able to take a trip for a while after our baby boy is born, now was the time to go. So we booked a 6 day trip to Cancun as a baby moon and was really able to relax and rest. No cooking, no dishes, just waking up each morning and having to do nothing but eat and go to the pool and beach. It was heaven! Below are a few shots from our trip! We’ll be posting more photos soon!

– And lastly, Julie has continued to shoot weddings up until now but will be taking a break since she is going into her third trimester. She will still be very active behind the scenes but for now, she will not be a part of the engagement sessions and weddings. While it’s heartbreaking because she loved meeting couples and being a part of their memorable day (she literally rejoices and shares the tears), God has plans for our family to expand so she will be focusing on that part of our lives.

Hope everyone is enjoying their summer!
